The most ideal Olympic events seem to be those that are most accessible to people throughout the world. For example, more people have the resources to practice running than any other activity, so the competition is relatively greater, and the claim of world's best is relatively broader.
A JumpRopeSprint™ 100m race would take running to an entirely new and exciting level. The rope twirling element requires additional coordination, concentration, and stamina.
Both the added visual appeal and the prospect of stumbling
on the rope increase the drama for spectators.

The Olympic Games present the ultimate sports experience and the only true forum that determines which people are the best in the world in their particular field of endeavor.
Gaining acceptance for a new Olympic sport is a lot easier said than done. We need to influence people at all levels. Encourage our family, friends, and neighbors to take up the sport. Ask our schools and track coaches to get involved. Write to our representatives and to people associated with the Olympics. Support and/or participate in local JumpRopeSprint events.
It would be great to introduce a JumpRopeSprint 100m race at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, but it is more realistic to hope for acceptance in time for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Let's make it happen in Brazil!
Yours virtually,
Eddie Ruggle
